    • Anyi Lu - As a child, Anyi had always wanted to be surrounded by fashion and art. Her grandfather, an army general, taught her Chinese calligraphy and brush painting. These arts demand precision and creativity — a balance between technical and imagination. Her traditional education led to the highly technical field of chemical engineering where she eventually worked for Blue chip companies Chevron and Dupont. During this time, she was also a competitive ballroom dancer. It was her sister’s wedding that would alter Anyi’s future when her sister needed a pair of comfortable shoes to dance in at the reception. It occurred to Anyi that women always need two different shoes. One for LOOKING. One for DOING. It seemed like looking great AND feeling great was not an option. She gave her sister a pair of ballroom dance shoes to wear — and Anyi’s mission was born. From Anyi’s experience as a competitive dancer, she knew all dance shoes must have fit, support, and flexibility. This basis inspired her to design shoes with these elements combined with old world Italian craftsmanship and high fashion looks and colors. Anyi brings her technical insight and attention to detail and blends it with her creative vision to design an innovative collection of shoes.

    • Foot Petals - Tina Aldatz Norris founded Foot Petals in April 2002. As an 11 year fashion industry veteran, Tina noticed there was something lacking in the marketplace for stylish women that enjoy wearing high heels, but still want to be comfortable. She was not about to give up her sexy heels or business chic pumps, and instead bought bulky orthopedic insoles from drugstores, cutting and pasting them to fit all of her various shoe styles. The major problem now became the unfortunate look of neon blue bulky insoles cut, hanging, and glued all over the inside of her fashionable footwear! Years later, Tina found a high performance urethane in a US factory which she found repels moisture, bacteria, odors, and also absorbs shock. She used this material to develop the Foot Petal line consisting of Heavenly Heelz, Sole Stopperz, Tip Toes, and other styles used to add comfort and perfect the fit of any shoe.

    • Lilly Pulitzer - After eloping and settling down with Peter Pulitzer, the grandson of the Pulitzer Prize’s Joseph Pulitzer, Lilly decided she needed something to keep her busy. Since Peter owned several Florida citrus groves, she opened a juice stand on Via Mizner which was a hit. However, after a day of squeezing oranges, lemons, and pink grapefruits, her clothes were covered in stains. Lilly asked her dressmaker to use a design that would camouflage the juice stains. The result? A comfortable sleeveless shift made of bright, colorful printed cotton - pink, green, yellow and orange. The dress even had custom dressmaker details like lining and lace seam bindings. It was perfect for the job and became Lilly's first Classic Shift. When people began to ask if they could buy the dress, Lilly had a few more made up to sell in the stand. Soon Lilly was selling more dresses than juice, so she decided to stop squeezing and to focus on designing and selling her "Lillys." Before long, Jackie Kennedy, an old school chum, began wearing Lillys and, as First Lady, was featured in Life Magazine wearing a Classic Shift. Then, of course, everyone wanted one and Lilly Pulitzer® became a fashion sensation. Through the sixties and seventies, the Lilly Pulitzer line was the unofficial uniform of the affluent at play.
