Blake Standard at Perchance Boutique
Designer Pierre Colorado eagerly launched his premier Blake Standard collection for Spring 2006 in New York and Los Angeles to excitement and rave reviews. He brings 12 years of experience and fashion know-how to his label, which he conceived after realizing the need for chic and easy to wear women's sportswear. Colorado has enjoyed a storied career at some of the top fashion brands, most recently, Abercrombie and Fitch, where he was senior designer. He earned a degree in fashion design from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York. His decision to leave corporate fashion to start his own line was a very personal one but was inspired by his parents who immigrated to the United States amid social and political unrest in their home country. His parents continue to inspire Pierre’s entrepreneurial spirit and Blake Standard is a direct reflection of that tenacity and drive. Blake Standard is defined by its signature color palettes, special detailing, soft supima cottons and flattering pattern styles. The combination of these factors represents a contemporary, chic approach to sportswear for all women.
